The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) is recruiting for an Evening Shift Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist for the Neurology/Neurosurgical service line and a Day Shift Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist for the Oncology service line.
The Neurology and Neurosurgical service line includes coverage of patients on the Neurovascular Stroke Service, Neurology Ward Service (including a wide variety of neurological disease states such as autoimmune encephalitis, myasthenia gravis, multiple sclerosis, CNS infections), and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (including monitored seizure induction for diagnosis and/or presurgical evaluation). These services include both physician-based teaching teams as well as advanced practice provider (APP) driven teams.
The oncology service line has over 150 dedicated inpatient beds with HUP serving as a premier hospital in the treatment of solid and liquid cancers. As an oncology UBCP, you will work alongside other top performing clinicians in the oncology space and become an expert in cutting-edge therapies. There are many opportunities to precept pharmacy students as well as PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents.
The decentralized Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist is integrated into the interdisciplinary team and participates in order verification, drug information requests, interdisciplinary rounds, medication reconciliation, patient education, emergency response, and pharmacokinetic consults for their service line. The Unit Based Clinical Pharmacist integrates with other members of the pharmacy team to provide pharmacist, nursing, and provider education.
