The Division of Pharmacy at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center offers a two year PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency program in collaboration with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy Master of Science in Pharmacy Leadership and Administration program. MD Anderson has 750 inpatient beds and provides over 1.4 million outpatient clinic visits annually. Pharmacy services provide advanced integrated clinical and distributive services using centralized and decentralized applications. The residency program is a well-rounded program that includes multiple aspects of pharmacy practice, as well management experience. The residency learning experiences include both core rotations as well as elective rotations scheduled throughout the program to help the resident further individualize the residency to meet their future career goals. Through these experiences the two year PGY1/PGY2 Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program will develop pharmacy leaders with expert knowledge and skills necessary to assume clinical or operational management positions within a health system pharmacy.
