Specialty Pharmacy Manager

The Specialty Pharmacy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA is responsible for leading excellence for our growing specialty pharmacy program.  Responsibilities include management of clinical and operational staff, daily operations, financial management, quality and safety outcomes, patient experience, specialty pharmacy accreditation, analytics, and strategic planning and business development to support the growth of specialty pharmacy services across Cedars-Sinai’s entire enterprise.  The manager serves as a member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team and provides input on the strategic direction of pharmacy services, supports organizational and departmental initiatives and operations. The manager collaborates with physicians, clinicians, managed care, pharmaceutical industry and organizational leadership to support access to specialty medications for vulnerable patients. The position is responsible for the management of over 25 pharmacy employees and will serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Outpatient Pharmacy Manager

The Outpatient Pharmacy Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the outpatient, discharge pharmacy, overseeing nearly 30 staff members, ensuring high-quality performance, compliance, and professional development.  This role serves as the pharmacist-in-charge, responsible for regulatory compliance, and monitors key quality, safety and financial performance indicators.  This role oversees and optimizes automation and technology supporting outpatient pharmacy workflows and ensures compliance with controlled substance regulations. Additionally, the manager actively participates in medical center and medical staff committees, quality improvement projects, and precepts pharmacy residents and students to foster clinical excellence and professional growth. The manager partners closely with nursing, case management, physicians, and specialty pharmacy teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across the care continuum. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as a demonstrated commitment to patient care, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Ambulatory Care Clinical Manager

The Ambulatory Care Clinical Manager serves as a clinical leader and subject matter expert in specialty and infusion therapies, overseeing ambulatory care clinical pharmacy activities.  This role provides strategic and operational leadership for Cedars-Sinai’s ambulatory and specialty pharmacy clinical programs, including the Pharmacotherapy Clinic and infusion therapy services. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining standardized, evidence-based clinical protocols, ensuring pharmacist competency, and promoting excellence in medication management across all ambulatory care sites. The clinical manager collaborates closely with the Specialty Pharmacy to optimize prescribing practices, internalize specialty prescriptions, and prevent external leakage by strengthening coordination between clinic-based pharmacists and pharmacy operations.  A key responsibility includes advancing pharmacists billing for ambulatory care and clinic-based services, in accordance with California Assembly Bill 317 (AB-317). Through partnership with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, this role enhances patient access, continuity of care, and overall clinical and financial performance. The clinical manager also supports program development, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and financial stewardship to ensure alignment with Cedars-Sinai’s mission of delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centered pharmacy services.

Educational Requirements:

• Graduate Degree - Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy - Minimum
• Post Graduate Year PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency or Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership residency

Licenses and Certifications
