At Eskenazi Health, we provide care at a safety-net health system serving a diverse, underserved patient population. Our pharmacy department is integrated across acute and outpatient care, and we emphasize collaboration, teaching, leadership and advanced practice.
As a PGY2 resident here you’ll benefit from (based on program scope):
A teaching environment: partnerships with Purdue University College of Pharmacy, Butler University College of Pharmacy & Indiana University School of Medicine.
Exposure to high-acuity patient care populations (e.g., Level I Trauma, Burn Center, Primary Stroke Center).
Expansive ambulatory care services covering numerous disease states (e.g., Psychiatry, Cardiovascular Risk Reduction, Oncology/Hematology, Primary Care, Cardiology, HIV/Hepatitis C, Rheumatology/Dermatology).
Stewardship, inpatient & outpatient ID care, interdisciplinary collaboration, monitoring/management of complex infectious disease pharmacotherapy.
A program culture that values diversity, equity, inclusion, resident well-being and a mission-driven commitment to patient care.
These PGY2 residencies build on PGY1 training and are designed to develop advanced practitioner skills in the chosen specialty. Completion of the program prepares residents for practice as specialized clinicians, educators, leaders, and potentially board-certified specialists in their area.
