USC-AbbVie - Medical Affairs + Health Impact: Global Medical Operations (Global Medical Information)

Duration: 1 year (July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027)

Location: Chicago, IL

The one-year Medical Affairs + Health Impact: Global Medical Operations Fellowships focus on providing exposure to three pillars of functionality: Global Scientific Publications, Medical Program Management, and Global Medical Information. The fellow will be able to develop firsthand experiences in medical information functional operations, portfolio management and strategy, or global strategic publications. This program will provide fellows the necessary tools to become successful professionals within the pharmaceutical industry and the opportunity to network with a lasting legacy of alumni fellows.

Global Medical Information Fellowship:

Develop scientifically-balanced global content in a health-literate style to respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs and consumers. Collaborate with our Medical Affairs colleagues to develop launch preparedness plans for new products and indications. Generate and interpret valuable insights with cross-functional partners that inform strategy. The fellow will focus on Immunology, including Rheumatology, Dermatology and Gastroenterology.

Application Requirements

The candidate must be a US citizen/permanent resident and have completed a PharmD, MD, or PhD or equivalent doctorate degree from an accredited college or university within five years of initial appointment and a minimum doctoral program GPA of 3.0, have good oral and written communication skills, ethics, professionalism, leadership, and an interest in the biopharmaceutical industry.
