Position Summary/Department Summary: The mission of the Department of Pharmacy is to provide excellent and innovative pharmaceutical care to patients and the community through safe and collaborative practices, incorporating education, research, and technology. We are currently searching for two critical care decentralized positions in our hybrid model pharmacy department. We are seeking one person for our MSICU (Medical Surgical ICU) and one person as a critical care float (MSICU, NICU, CICU, MICU).
Key Responsibilities:
Serving as pharmacy representative on patient-centered rounds in assigned ICU
Verifying patient orders both centrally and decentrally depending on assigned shift
Precepting pharmacy residents and students
Non-decentralized shifts within clinical staffing areas
Involvement in QI, formulary, and other pharmacy/area-related projects
Attendance at hospital code blues
Committee involvement (both inter and intra-departmental)
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Doctorate degree in pharmacy preferred
PGY2 preferred in pediatrics or critical care
PGY1 at pediatric institution will be considered
Licensure/Certification:
Massachusetts pharmacist license required prior to start date.
