Methodist University Hospital, in conjunction with the University of Tennessee, offers an ASHP-accredited postgraduate year two (PGY-2) residency in Emergency Medicine. The purpose of the program is to provide the resident with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to achieve excellence as a clinician, educator, and scholar in the area of emergency medicine. Residents will have the opportunity to complete rotations with numerous inpatient, academic emergency medicine teams. Residents are expected to perform independently and demonstrate proficiency during all rotation activities.
