The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the daily operational management of the Pharmacy. Also, responsible for overseeing the effective selection, orientation and in-service training of technicians and pharmacists. Provides adequate direction, education opportunities and coaching to develop and improve staff performance and maintain appropriate documentation of all competencies.
Responsibilities:
The development of the annual capital and operating budgets.
Assure functional compliance with applicable laws, regulatory agencies (including JCAHO), Ohio State Board of Pharmacy and other governing bodies.
Serves as senior clinical oversight for specialty pharmacy accreditation.
Oversees the packaging, labeling and distribution of medications to patients.
Oversees the departmental purchasing function.
Assumes administrative responsibility in the absence of a director.
Assess the accuracy and timeliness of pharmacists and technicians work concerning drug preparation, dispensing, and other support (unit inspections, etc.)
Ensures an adequate supply of medications is available to meet patient demand.

Technical Expertise
Experience in automatic dispensing system.
Experience with EPIC systems.
Must have a clean driving record and be able to be insured on the hospital's auto insurance plan.
Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
Experience in healthcare is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor degree in Pharmacy with Pharm D.
Completion of a PGY 1 Pharmacy Residency or a minimum of two years of pharmacy management experience in an applicable field required. PGY 2 preferred.
Certification: Current license from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
Years of experience supervising: Minimum 2 years of hospital management required.
