University Health's critical care pharmacy residency is a 12-month program designed to prepare its graduates to assume positions in adult critical care, emergency medicine/trauma services in an urban teaching facility, similar to that of University Health. University Health is an academic teaching hospital providing the unique opportunity to not only precept pharmacy students, but also educate learners from other disciplines. In addition, the resident will have the opportunity to teach on an academic level at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Pharmacy. Required learning experiences include critical care medicine, trauma surgery, emergency medicine, infectious disease, and solid organ transplant.
