The PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant (SOT) residency program is designed to provide the resident advanced training in the fields of organ transplantation and immunology. The resident will be a vital member of a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, nurses, transplant coordinators, and other members of the transplant team. Houston Methodist J.C. Walter Jr. Transplant Center provides care for kidney, pancreas, liver, heart, and lung transplant recipients. Primary responsibilities within the team include reviewing all drug therapy, therapeutic drug monitoring, medication histories, and discharge counseling. The resident will also conduct individual research to be submitted for publication with the support of program preceptors and medical staff collaborators.T
