Children’s Hospital New Orleans recently completed a $300 million campus transformation project, expanding the hospital’s footprint by 235,000 square feet. The project included a new medical tower with expanded cancer, emergency, cardiac intensive care, and surgical centers, along with a free-standing behavioral health hospital.  The Hematology/Oncology unit has 17 inpatient rooms, all of which are HEPA filtered. The Hematology/Oncology Ambulatory Clinic has 9 infusion bays, 2 private infusions rooms, and 16 clinic rooms. A Pharmacist in this area will be part of a two-person hem/onc pharmacy team including opportunities to interact in both the acute care and ambulatory settings.
