Chief Pharmacy Service
Salem VAMC is a level 1c, university affiliated, teaching facility providing comprehensive tertiary medical care services. The Chief, Pharmacy Service is responsible for managing all facets of pharmacy for said medical center that has 298 operational beds and five Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) located in Staunton, Lynchburg, Wytheville, Danville, and Tazwell, respectively. Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. Education: Graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited College or School of Pharmacy with a baccalaureate degree in pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) and/or a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.
