Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Inpatient Acute Care
Clinical Staff Pharmacists at UPMC Central PA hospitals practice in both centralized and unit-based settings. In all care venues, pharmacy practice is supported by state-of-the-art medication management technologies. Candidates will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to provide evidence-based care to patients across a wide range of ages, disease states, and acuities. Daily activities include but are not limited to: Drug therapy monitoring Clinical verification of electronic medication orders in Epic Implementation of pharmacy protocols and standing orders for renal dosing, IV to PO conversion, and vancomycin/aminoglycoside dosing Direct education and communication with patients about medication regimens
