The purpose of the residency is to provide educational and training experiences for pharmacists in the fundamentals of exemplary contemporary pharmacy practice in an integrated healthcare system. Through various clinical, practice management and pharmaceutical practice training segments, the residency instills a philosophy of practice that embraces the concept that pharmacists must be accountable for optimum drug therapy outcomes and act as leaders in advancing care of patients. This program is designed to provide a strong clinical experience and equip graduates with the essential leadership skills necessary to assume high level managerial, supervisory, and leadership responsibilities throughout their career. This 2- year program includes a Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas.

In November 2017, the health system opened an additional 11 floor hospital tower north of the main campus adding 124 beds and 7 OR suites bringing the total lic...ensed bed number to over 850. The new Cambridge Tower A has allowed for expansion of services including specialized surgeries, oncology, neurosciences and otolaryngology. The strategic plan for the next 30 years includes 3 additional towers for future growth.
