Pharmacists successfully completing a combined PGY-1 Pharmacy & PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership with Masters Residency at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota will be capable of assuming high level managerial, supervisory and leadership pharmacy positions. In addition to completing Mayo Clinic’s renowned PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency that has been in place since 1972, the PGY-2 year of the combined HSPA-MS program focuses on a host of required administrative learning experiences, including: Cancer Care, Community/Mail Order/Specialty Pharmacy, Formulary/Contracting/Managed Care, Health System Operations, Informatics, Inpatient Clinical Operations, Medication Management Services/Ambulatory Operations, Pharmacy Enterprise Leadership, Pharmacy Procurement, and Safety/Quality/Compliance. Each resident is also be enrolled in ASHP Foundation’s Pharmacy Leadership Academy in addition to selecting an online Master’s programs. Throughout the 2-year commitment, the PGY1 and PGY2 resident has nearly unlimited electives to choose from in addition to completion of a host of longitudinal experiences, each tailored to the resident's interests. Research project and online staffing required.

Stipend
$58,700 for PGY-1 and $62,100 for PGY-2 residents.
Costs associated with Master’s degree tuition are covered by the residency program and are subject to applicable taxes.
