PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program
UofL Health - UofL Hospital offers an ASHP Accredited Post-Graduate Year Two (PGY2) Oncology Pharmacy Residency. This comprehensive training program incorporates direct patient care, teaching and research experiences with a focus on the provision of pharmaceutical care. Oncology pharmacy specialists at the Brown Cancer Center are integral members of the blood and cellular therapy (BCT) and Medical Oncology multi-disciplinary teams.
UofL Health is an academic institution with three cancer centers and BCT program that provides a wide variety of oncology learning experiences. Our program is designed to develop oncology expertise and clinical competence. The PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency offers a diverse selection of inpatient and outpatient learning experiences, allowing the resident to customize their residency experience and progress into confident, autonomous practitioners. Upon completion, graduates of the program will be innovative practitioners and pharmacy educators capable of assuming positions in multiple health care environments, engaging in research, academia and becoming leaders in pharmacy organizations as Clinical Pharmacy Specialists in Oncology.
PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency Program
UofL Health offers an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists-accredited Post-Graduate Year Two (PGY2) Infectious Diseases (ID) Pharmacy Residency in Louisville, Kentucky. This multi-site residency, that occurs at UofL Hospital and Jewish Hospital, offers advanced training that builds upon an acute care PGY1 to focus specifically on the field of ID pharmacotherapy and management. The program is structured according to ASHP Residency Program Design & Conduct and will be tailored to the resident’s professional goals and interests.
This comprehensive training program incorporates direct patient care, administrative learning opportunities, teaching, and research experiences with a focus on the provision of pharmaceutical care as an integral member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
