This position will have the opportunity to work in a level IV NICU and collaborate with NICU teams across the Akron Children’s Hospital enterprise.

Akron Children’s Hospital is looking for a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to serve the pediatric population of Northeast Ohio as a member of our clinical pharmacy team. This position will have the opportunity to work 12-hour shifts in our emergency department on the Mahoning Valley/Boardman campus.

1. Education: Doctor of Pharmacy Degree is required or BS pharmacy degree with extensive pediatric experience.
2. Licensure: Current License by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy is required
3. Certification: Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS), Board Certified Pediatric Pharmacy Specialist (BCPPS), or other BPS Board Certification is required within one year of hire
4. A Post Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Residency (PGY1) required and PGY2 Residency strongly encouraged, depending on practice area.
5. Years of relevant experience: 1-2 years is preferred.
