Position Highlights:
This position works full time with our ICU Multidisciplinary Team, providing care for our adult MICU and CVICU. We provide advanced services to our community including ECMO, CRRT, Impella, IABP, and other invasive device management. The specialist participates in criticalcare committees, and has responsibilities for ICU projects and service line development. As a specialist, you would participate as a primary preceptor for our PGY1 Residency Program, APPE pharmacy students and provide education to our Internal Medicine Medical Residents.
Graduation from PGY2 Specialty residency
Graduation from PGY1 Residency + 1+ year of clinical experience
or Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience + board certification
Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is a 500-bed community hospital serving seven surrounding counties with a population in excess of 550,000. We are a Level IV trauma center and are accredited as primary care centers for both stroke and chest pain. In collaboration with Acadian EMS, we are the home base of an air medical program supporting the entirety of the Southeast Texas region. Our oncology program is accredited as a Comprehensive Community Program through the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, as a Comprehensive Breast Center by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
