The Critical Care Clinical Pharmacist Specialist will join an exceptional team caring for the nearly 200 critical care beds at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Led by intensivists, including sub-specialty providers, the interdisciplinary teams include clinical pharmacist specialists to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care. The daily role of the critical care clinical specialist is to evaluate and recommend appropriate drug therapy to achieve optimal cost-effective patient outcomes. In addition to direct patient care, clinical specialists participate in antimicrobial stewardship, research, quality assurance projects, P&T support, professional development and education opportunities. The specialist serves as a resource to the pharmacy staff, hospital departments, and BJC System initiatives.
Job requirements include PharmD, PGY1 Residency, PGY2 Residency, Missouri pharmacist license with Medication Therapy Services Certification, Board Certification within three years of hire.
