Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) is a private, nonprofit pediatric health system, that is 100% dedicated to caring for kids at all ages and stages of growth. We provide comprehensive pediatric care at our hospital on Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC) and at several locations throughout the region. CHCO AMC is the only dedicated Level 1 pediatric trauma center in our seven-state region, handling the most challenging emergencies. Our PGY2 focuses on training highly qualified clinical pediatric pharmacists. Our program places emphasis on developing leadership skills applicable in any pediatric setting and preparing the resident for leadership roles in the profession. We provide generous travel support and encourage professional involvement beyond CHCO. Allowing the resident to focus the year on their subspecialty interest is an important aspect of our program and is based upon their PGY1 experience and completion of core requirements. CHCO also provides the option to further specialize during the PGY2 year, through the Pediatric Specialty Pathways of pediatric critical care and pediatric oncology pharmacy residency training.
