Johns Hopkins Care at Home Pharmacy Services offers a combined PGY1 and PGY2, specialty residency and graduate program in community pharmacy leadership and administration. Residents will complete the ASHP requirements for the PGY1 Community-based Residency and the PGY2 Community-based Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency. Residents have the option of completing the M.B.A. (54 credit hours) or M.S. (36 credit hours) program in Health Care Management through the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. The residency and academic coursework establish a unique foundation for developing leaders to build and manage community, specialty, infusion and ambulatory care health-system pharmacy practice. Experiential training will be enhanced through graduate business courses in negotiation, strategic planning, finance, and health policy. The residency experience is diverse including specialty, community, and home infusion pharmacy operations, strategic planning, clinical services management, human resource management, financial management, and robust PGY1 clinical experiences. Candidates must have a Pharm.D. degree, minimum GPA 3.0 and eligibility for Maryland licensure.
