Lakeland Regional Health has a consult-based inpatient pain management service, run by three pain management and palliative care pharmacy specialists. As a result of this unique service, the primary focus of this PGY-2 residency is adult pain management.
Palliative care experience will be obtained primarily through the hospital’s 31-bed palliative care unit and one of the four nearby hospices. Other clinical experiences are offered throughout the inpatient oncology unit and cancer center, inpatient psychiatry units, and the trauma unit.
Elective rotations may also be selected in the trauma ICU, emergency department, outpatient behavioral health clinic for addiction recovery, or at an outpatient interventional pain management physician’s office.
Requirements
Graduate from an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program prior to the start of residency
Obtain licensure in the state of Florida by August 1
