The PGY2 Solid Organ Transplant pharmacy residency is a 12-month, full-time training program. This specialty program builds upon the PGY1 pharmacy residency in that it provides a well-rounded experience leading to the development of expert knowledge, skills, and leadership of the resident in specialized areas of solid organ transplant practice.
The resident will be provided with opportunities to function independently as a practitioner by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Graduates will be prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification
PGY2 Internal Medicine
The PGY2 Internal Medicine residency is a 12-month, full-time training program. This specialty program is designed to build on Doctor of Pharmacy education and PGY1 pharmacy residency programs and refine the resident’s clinical knowledge and leadership skills in the care of internal medicine patients. The residency offers a comprehensive learning experience including direct patient care activities in both inpatient and outpatient settings, research, and teaching opportunities. Additionally, the resident will be able to participate in hospital pharmacy committees and directly contribute to administrative efforts. Upon completion of the program, the resident will be well-equipped to serve as clinicians, educators, and scholars in the area of adult internal medicine and pursue specialty board certifications.

PGY2 Requirements:
Graduation from an ACPE Accredited School of Pharmacy.
Current or eligible for New York State Pharmacist licensure.
Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program.
