The Norton Healthcare PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency Program is a one year ASHP-accredited residency designed to train pharmacists to provide comprehensive medication management to a diverse patient population in a variety of ambulatory care settings within a health system.
This program offers direct patient care learning experiences in primary care, transitions of care, specialty pharmacy, and specialty pharmacy practices, including cardiology, neurology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, and oncology. Longitudinal learning experiences are also offered in project management, leadership, and population health and managed care.
In addition to developing clinical skills to manage complex chronic conditions in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team, the resident will also be involved in developing ambulatory clinical pharmacy services and precepting PGY1 residents and students.
