The Takeda-Purdue US Medical: Medical Strategy fellowship is a one-year program designed to provide PharmDs with the opportunity to gain specialized hands-on pharmaceutical training and experience in various US Medical Department, both In-house and in the field. US Medical at Takeda is composed of several closely integrated functional teams, with roles and responsibilities that are distinct yet interdependent.
The purpose of the fellowship program is to develop trained fellows who will be prepared to take up the challenges of Corporate and Medical Affairs. This program will serve to maintain and enhance a scientific link between Takeda and Purdue University scientists; and it will aid not only the Medical Affairs strategy of Takeda, but eventually serve to advance science and education through the industry. Graduates of the program will have the ability to serve in important roles in the pharmaceutical industry and/or in an academic setting. The fellow will be based at the Takeda Boston site located in Lexington, MA with frequent interactions and a rotation with Purdue College of Pharmacy.
PharmD graduate of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Program
License to practice pharmacy in any state (Purdue requirement) by December 31, 2025
