We are searching for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialists to serve in the following role:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
In this position, you will manage and promote clinical pharmacy activities appropriate to ensure the safety and efficacy of the medication use process, serve as a mentor to pharmacists who provide services to the medical specialty, and assist in direct patient care activities to promote optimal drug therapy and resolve medication use problems
This position will have rounding, project management, education, and research responsibilities
Utilizes practice knowledge and skills to serve as Clinical Practitioner
Participation in the creation and maintenance of evidence based guidelines
Participates in the education of parents/patients, care givers, pharmacists, and pharmacy residents and students
Participation in quality improvement initiatives and research endeavors
Performing medication use evaluations and assisting with formulary management
Managing clinical implications of drug shortages
Participation in clinical on-call activities
Communicates with others
Performs other essential functions

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
RPH - Registered Pharmacist in Texas
Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency AND a PGY2 residency
OR completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with 4 years of post-residency clinical experience
