Program Overview: The Pharmacy Academic Fellowship Program is designed to develop future leaders in pharmacy education. This one-year fellowship provides comprehensive training in teaching, curriculum development, academic leadership, and critical care practice. Fellows will gain hands-on experience in classroom instruction, student mentorship, educational research, and clinical practice in critical care settings.

Objectives:

Key Components:
Teaching Experience:
Fellows will co-teach courses with experienced faculty members.
Opportunities to lead lectures, facilitate discussions, and conduct laboratory sessions.
Regular feedback and mentorship to improve teaching techniques.
Curriculum Development:
Involvement in the design and revision of course materials.
Participation in curriculum committee meetings.
Exposure to innovative teaching methods and technologies.
Academic Leadership:
Training in academic administration and leadership.
Opportunities to participate in departmental meetings and decision-making processes.
Development of skills in student advising and mentorship.
Educational Research:
Conduct research projects focused on pharmacy education.
Present findings at conferences and publish in academic journals.

Critical Care Practice:

Eligibility:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
ASHP-accredited PGY1-Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience
Texas licensure by October 31st, 2025
Strong interest in academic pharmacy, teaching, and critical care practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
