The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (FHCC), Oncology Pharmacist team provides extensive pharmaceutical care to inpatient and ambulatory patients. In addition to direct care, pharmacists participate in drug therapy consults, conduct clinical research protocols, provide patient/family/staff education, and precept pharmacy students and residents. FHCC combines the adult and pediatric oncology patient care services of two world-renowned cancer care institutions: Seattle Children's and UW Medicine.
Presently, there are several opportunities available at FHCC for oncology trained pharmacists. These positions include:
Ambulatory Clinical Oncology Pharmacist (variety of solid tumor clinics and hematology)
Ambulatory Clinical Oncology Pharmacist (Outpatient BMT specialty clinic and cellular immunotherapy)
Ambulatory Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at FHCC Community Sites (Bellevue, WA, Kirkland, WA, Seattle, WA, and Poulsbo, WA)
FHCC is seeking highly motivated clinical pharmacists to provide pharmaceutical care for oncology patients at UW Medicine and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Our oncology and BMT pharmacists provide extensive pharmaceutical care to cancer patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The oncology clinical pharmacist is a vital part of the patient care team. In addition to direct patient care responsibilities, our pharmacists participate in morning BMT rounds, drug therapy consults, clinical research protocols, provide patient/family/staff education, and precept pharmacy students, residents, medical fellows, and other health care providers.

UW Medicine Department of Pharmacy Services offers several ASHP-accredited postgraduate PGY1 and PGY2 residencies. While the specific mix of offerings may vary from year to year, each residency provides twelve months of intense pharmacy practice training. Flexibility built into our programs allows each resident to tailor a program to fit their individual goals. Our goal is to help our residents develop the advanced skills and competencies needed to assume leadership roles within the profession.
