This shared faculty (with Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED)) Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will serve as a subject matter expert for Cardiology while actively participating on patient care rounds with the inpatient cardiology services, representing the pharmacy department on various multidisciplinary committees, and teaching pharmacy students and pharmacy residents. Opportunities for clinical teaching and research are plentiful. This Cardiology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will collaborate with the current Cardiac ICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to advance cardiology related pharmacy issues and initiatives not only at UH Cleveland Medical Center but the University Hospitals Health System as a whole.
UH Cleveland Medical Center/NEOMED shared faculty clinical pharmacy specialists dedicate 60% of their time to UH Cleveland Medical Center, 20% of their time teaching NEOMED learners at UH Cleveland Medical Center, and 20% of their time is dedicated to committees and didactic teaching at NEOMED.
