We have two job openings for a nightshift pharmacist supervisor and an evening shift pharmacist.
The first opening is for a Pharmacist Supervisor for our night shift inpatient pharmacy team at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. The hours for this position are 9pm - 7am working 7 days on followed by 7 days off.
Key Responsibilities
Provides oversight of daily operations and clinical pharmacy services.
Provides quality patient-oriented pharmaceutical care which includes providing drug information and consultation to physicians and other healthcare personnel, receiving medication orders from healthcare providers, reviewing each for appropriate therapy, managing the dispensing of medications to the patient care areas, and monitoring patient response to drug therapy for a specific patient population.
Serves as a direct supervisor for night shift pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Serves as an educational resource for pharmacists, residents, students, and other healthcare professionals, including research endeavors.

The second opening is for an Evening Shift Pharmacist at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. The evening shift pharmacist will primarily cover acute care patients alongside our team of other evening shift pharmacists. The schedule will be four 10-hour days Mon-Fri (no weekends), from approximately 12:00 - 10:00pm or 1:00 - 11:00pm.

Pharmacist Supervisor
PharmD degree and pharmacy residency (or equivalent experience) required. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting is preferred.
Evening Shift Pharmacist
PharmD degree and pharmacy residency (or equivalent experience) required. A minimum of 1 year of experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting is preferred.
The University of Tennessee Medical Center is a 710-bed, acute care, teaching hospital. It serves the entire East Tennessee region, providing all general and specialty clinical services and carries a Level I trauma center designation, supported by an aeromedical helicopter program. The medical center campus includes the UT College of Pharmacy and the Graduate School of Medicine which houses a large Family Medicine Clinic. The pharmacy staff provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, through decentralized pharmacist teams supported by pharmacist specialists in a wide variety of clinical areas. Additionally, there are satellite pharmacies in the operating room and oncology areas. Ambulatory care is provided via specialty services to the patients in the Family Medicine Clinic, Patient-Centered Medical Home, and the Renal Transplant Clinic, among others.
