The Regional Director of Pharmacy working in a matrix with other pharmacy leaders is responsible for all pharmacy services and operations within a Mayo Clinic Health System region. The region includes a larger "hub" hospital site along with other hospital and clinic sites. This individual is a recognized leader of pharmacy and provides strong, visible, values driven leadership and advocacy for Pharmacy. This individual provides leadership and direction of pharmacy services at the regional level. Ensures the provision of high quality, contemporary pharmacy services and practice that deliver the highest value care and services to patients. Ensures regional pharmacy services incorporates, is aligned with and supports departmental strategic vision, direction and priorities. Directs pharmacy services to ensure that all quality, legal, regulatory and accreditation standards are met or exceeded. Implements, maintains and promotes pharmacy education programs that are aligned with and a component of the overall departmental program; and actively supports scholarly activity. Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Advanced degree (Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Master’s degree in related field). Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency and a minimum of 6 years applicable pharmacy leadership and management experience; or a minimum of 8 years applicable pharmacy leadership and management experience. Applicable experience includes working in an integrated healthcare system and overseeing, planning and managing progressive pharmacy services. Strong commitment and evidence of achieving excellence. Proven history of successfully working in a team environment. Communicates effectively. Proven history of a commitment to patient care and alignment with Mayo Clinic values. (For current Mayo Directors of Pharmacy minimum education requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, advanced degree preferred). The following are preferred: Master's degree in business, health care administration or related field in addition to Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Completion of leadership or management educational programs (e.g. ASHP leadership program, Mayo programs, residency administrative experience). Advance skills in quality improvement, financial management, strategic planning, project management and team building. Current license to practice Pharmacy in the state that the individual practices. Eau Claire, with a metro area of 163,000 is home to the 11,000 students at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Strong schools, low crime rate, and a reasonable cost of living may be expected. With an abundance of outdoor activities, The city also serves as the retail center for west central Wisconsin and the major metro area of Minneapolis/St. Paul is 90 minutes away.
