The Specialized Consulting Manager, IV Workflow and USP Compliance is responsible for coordinating and leading sales and implementation activities that meet the needs of our external customers and internal team. The Specialized Consulting Manager – Pharmacy Compliance ensures successful adoption and optimal utilization of our Simplifi+ pharmacy portfolios by acting as the subject matter expert and consultant.
The Specialized Consulting Manager will primarily work in a Milwaukee, Wisconsin office with occasional days in the Madison, Wisconsin office.
This is a Contractor role that may lead to permanent full-time employment with Wolters Kluwer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support the sales team as subject matter expert in IV Workflow by conducting software and “in hood” demonstrations of our solution to prospective clients highlighting the benefits and differentiating functionality.
Support the sales and customer success teams as an expert to demonstrate product functionality, key benefits, and integration into workflow to prospective and current customers.
Facilitate customer adoption and usage of pharmacy compliance solutions to achieve their desired outcomes, including providing advice on workflow and practice model adjustment, implementation of policies and procedures based on best available evidence, practice guidelines, regulations, and professional practices.
Create and update clinical and operational content in our solutions to maintain currency with latest evidence.
Build professional relationships with pharmacy customers during and after implementations to serve as a trusted pharmacy resource.
Contribute to marketing activities and campaigns by providing thought leadership in pharmacy practice through webinars, blogs, professional meeting presentations, and scientific publications.
Collaborate with product development team to ideate feature enhancements, participate in user acceptability testing, lead customer facing pilots and testing, and engage in market research.
Develop training materials in various formats to support updates and changes to solutions.
Manage sensitive protected health information (PHI) in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Education:
Graduate of an ACPE accredited college of pharmacy; current license to practice Pharmacy within the United States.
Board certification in Sterile Compounding (BCSCP) strongly preferred
At least 5 years of experience leading pharmacy practice, including:
Expertise in sterile compounding and utilization of an IV Workflow solution
Expertise in pharmacy operations and leadership in the area of sterile compounding, including the following responsibilities:
Preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounded medications, in accordance with the latest relevant USP chapters.
Prepare medications for pharmacist verification and distribute medications according to hospital policies and procedures.
Stock, inventory, and maintain automated dispensing cabinets, medication trays/kits, and emergency/specialty carts.
Maintenance of documents, records, and other collaterals to demonstrate compliance to quality management standards.
Successful preparation for Joint Commission or DNV surveys, Department of Health, Board of Pharmacy, and other applicable regulatory agency inspections and drafting and implementing process improvement plans based on Recommendations for Improvements (RFIs) or other relevant regulatory findings.
Designing processes and documentation to demonstrate compliance to pharmacy best practices and regulations.
Well versed in demonstrating the value of pharmacy services.
Experience presenting to Executive-Level stakeholders, including demonstrations.
Clear communication to specialized and non-specialized audiences.
Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) with clinical and non-clinical audiences.
Fluency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Teams, Word, Excel).
Experience implementing a pharmacy compounding or IV workflow software preferred.
