About the Role
Partners In Home Care is seeking an experienced and visionary Pharmacy Director to oversee clinical and pharmacy operations for our home IV therapy program, Partners Solutions. This leadership role includes responsibility for sterile compounding, infusion nursing, ambulatory infusion services, compliance, clinical quality, and financial performance.
The Director ensures high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory and accreditation standards. This position reports to the Executive Director of Clinical Services and collaborates closely with billing, finance, and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Program Oversight
Lead all aspects of the Home Infusion program, including pharmacy and nursing services
Ensure safe, effective, and compliant sterile compounding and drug dispensing
Supervise home and ambulatory infusion services
Manage patient referrals, insurance eligibility checks, and prior authorizations
Serve as a backup for on-call pharmacist coverage
Remain proficient in all home infusion pharmacist duties
Compliance & Accreditation
Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge for Montana Board of Pharmacy
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, DEA, DPHHS, and ACHC standards
Prepare for and lead inspections, audits, and accreditation surveys
Quality & Performance Improvement
Lead Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities
Monitor and report clinical and operational metrics
Implement action plans to improve care, compliance, and efficiency
Collaborate with senior leadership to align with organizational quality goals
Leadership & Staff Development
Supervise pharmacists, infusion nurses, techs, and intake staff
Recruit, train, and evaluate department personnel
Promote a safe, supportive, and high-performing work environment
Financial & Strategic Management
Oversee department budgets, expenses, and pricing structures
Collaborate with billing and finance teams to optimize revenue
Identify opportunities for program growth and service expansion
Billing & Claims Oversight
Ensure accurate billing and coding in alignment with NHIA standards
Respond to claim denials and manage payer communications
Work closely with the Revenue Cycle team to ensure proper reimbursement
External & Community Engagement
Represent the organization with referral partners, licensing boards, and schools
Support student training through pharmacy and nursing preceptorships

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (Pharm.D. preferred)
Current or eligible Montana pharmacist license in good standing
2+ years of pharmacy management experience (home infusion or hospital preferred)
2+ years of experience in infusion, sterile compounding, or acute care pharmacy
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Eligible to precept pharmacy students in Montana
Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
Must complete and maintain certification in Advanced Sterile Compounding (e.g., NHIA or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of NHIA billing/coding standards
Familiarity with ACHC or NABP accreditation
Experience with payer contracts, claims appeals, and audits
Strong financial and analytical skills
Current BLS certification
Up to date on all required healthcare worker vaccinations
Prior experience leading accreditation or regulatory surveys
