• Supervises and directs the daily operations of pharmacy services
• Serves as a resource person regarding pharmacy policies to pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and other hospital staff
• Participates in on-call responsibility as assigned
• Responsible for staff development and performance evaluation
• Assists in the recruitment, interviews, and training of new staff
• Participates in the development of policy and procedures
• Conducts educational programs, in-services, and staff meetings
• Oversees sterile and non-sterile compounding operations
• Ensures the implementation of strategic clinical initiatives
• Manages departmental pharmaceutical budgets

1. Pharmacy Operations Manager (Boston Metro Area) 

• Licensure: Eligible for Pharmacist licensures in the the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Experience : Related experience 3-5 years preferred
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• • Must have excellent verbal, written, and quantitative skills
  • Displays a comprehensive knowledge of department operations
  • Shows knowledge of the pharmacology of drugs and legal aspects of dispensing
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills to educate and supervise staff, normally acquired after a three to five years of related hospital experience in a progressive, large health care organization and through self-directed education
  • Can work accurately and make decisions under stress and with time constraints
  • Strong attention to detail
