Takeda – Purdue U.S. Medical: Medical Strategy (1 Year Program)
The fellow will receive a competitive stipend and benefits package, including comprehensive health and dental insurance. Attendance at one or more professional meetings, conferences or workshops will be sponsored by the fellowship.

The Takeda-Purdue US Medical: Medical Strategy Fellowship is a one-year program designed to provide immersive, hands-on experience across multiple functions within Takeda’s US Medical organization. Fellows will gain exposure to both in-house and field-based medical teams, contributing to strategic initiatives that support the development and communication of medical insights.
Takeda’s US Medical team is composed of several closely integrated functions, each with distinct yet collaborative roles. This fellowship offers a unique opportunity to work across these functions, including Medical Strategy, Field Medical, Medical Communications, and Health Economics and Outcomes Research. Fellows will be based at Takeda’s Lexington, MA site, with the flexibility to work from the Kendall Square office in Cambridge, MA. They will also engage regularly with faculty from Purdue University College of Pharmacy.
The primary objective of the fellowship is to develop highly skilled professionals who are prepared to meet the evolving challenges of Medical Affairs and the pharmaceutical industry. Graduates of the program will be equipped to pursue impactful careers across a variety of medical functions.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in Medical Affairs, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to think strategically in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Eligible applicants must be graduates or anticipated graduates of an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program.
License to practice pharmacy in any state (Purdue requirement) by December 31, 2026
