Children’s Memorial Hermann is seeking a residency-trained Pediatric Clinical Pharmacist to support our Emergency Department (ED) and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) as part of an integrated inpatient team. This role participates in multidisciplinary rounds, provides clinical decision support, verifies medication orders, and contributes to safe, high-acuity pediatric care.
Required Qualifications:
PharmD from an ACPE-accredited school
Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency (no current residents)
Inpatient acute care experience; community hospital experience accepted if pediatric/NICU exposure present
Experience supporting pediatric, NICU, PICU, or ED populations (patient mix/acuity reviewed)
Active pharmacist license (Texas or eligible for reciprocity)
Preferred Qualifications:
PGY2 Pediatrics Residency
Previous experience supporting PICU/ED pediatric population
PALS certification
Board Certification (e.g., BCPPS)
Position Details:
Non-exempt/hourly
Integrated with ED + PICU clinical teams
No requirement for 100% pediatric census
Relocation assistance considered on a case-by-case basis
Compensation:
$125,000 – $130,000 annually
eligible relocation support (case-by-case)
