The Perioperative Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will join an exceptionally collaborative team comprised of team members from the Departments of Anesthesiology, Surgery, Perioperative Services and Pharmacy. This team cares for approximately 150 surgical patients per day. The role of the Perioperative Clinical Pharmacy Specialist is to provide pharmaceutical expertise, optimize medication therapy, enhance medication use workflows and improve the value, safety, and quality of patient care throughout the surgical care continuum. In addition, clinical pharmacy specialists participate in opioid and antimicrobial stewardship, research, professional development, education, formulary management, and other BJH Health initiatives.
Job requirements include PharmD, PGY1 Residency, Missouri pharmacist license with Medication Therapy Services Certification, Board Certification within three years of hire. PGY2 Residency Completion.
