Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our dynamic pediatric team, providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients in solid organ transplant and nephrology services.

As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, the Clinical Pharmacy Specialist will deliver clinical, educational, and operational support that advances safe, effective, and compassionate medication use for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a consistent clinical pharmacy practice that optimizes pharmaceutical care in a safe, effective, and cost-conscious manner.
• Serve as a trusted drug information resource for physicians, nurses, and patients; design and deliver educational programs for healthcare staff and families.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing teams to evaluate medication orders, manage adverse drug events, and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to departmental goals through participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects and professional publications or presentations.
• Support pharmacy operations, including order verification, medication storage, and distribution oversight.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and professional growth through participation in training, workshops, and clinical development activities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Demonstrated clinical expertise in pediatric transplant and/or nephrology.
• Ability to work independently while cultivating confidence and collaboration across the healthcare team.
• Strong communication skills and commitment to CHOP’s mission of advancing pediatric health through excellence in care, research, and education.

• PharmD degree from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy required.
• Completion of a PGY-2 residency in pediatrics or transplant or equivalent clinical experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in solid organ transplant and/or nephrology patient care.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Eligible for Pennsylvania pharmacist licensure.
