Pharmacy Clinical Specialist, Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Full-Time, Schedule Varies – Days/Evenings Miami Cancer Institute

The Blood and Marrow Transplant program at MCI is growing, increasing stem cell transplant options in South Florida for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma and other blood cancers. Performing autologous outpatient transplants since April 2018, MCI is the only outpatient stem cell transplant program in South Florida. In addition, MCI is launching a new state-of-the-art stem cell processing and immunotherapy laboratory. The laboratory will process the stem cell products from donors and remove the T-cells that cause graft-versus-host-disease, thus avoiding a common life-threatening complication of allogeneic transplantation and greatly improving the patient’s quality of life.
You will actively develop and present educational topics, and staff development programs; participates in activities to enhance the pharmacy department’s professional and/or clinical services; develop medication protocols to optimize patient’s drug therapy; and serve as clinical resource to health care providers as members of medical staff committees and/or specialty collaborative.
Doctorate of Pharmacy with Board Certification of Pharmacy Specialty (BCPS) required. If not Board Certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties, Pharmacy Practice Residency required or achievement of Board Certification within 1 years of hiring.
ACLS certification and re-certification required.
