We are seeking a Pharmacy Education Coordinator! As the Pharmacy Education Coordinator, you will: - Ensure continuous function, quality, and ASHP accreditation of the Kootenai Health Post-Graduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency as the Residency Program Director.
- Coordinate IPPE and APPE experiential education opportunities with Colleges of Pharmacy and any on-site faculty members.
- Work with all preceptors and review at least yearly the quality of all IPPE, APPE, and PGY1 rotations/learning experiences.
- Develop and implements ongoing preceptor development curriculum for IPPE, APPE, and PGY1 pharmacy preceptors.
- Align student and resident work with the goals of the department.
- Provide pharmacist staffing support.
- Work with the Pharmacy Clinical Manager to plan and execute budgeted expenditures for the Pharmacy Residency budget.
Some of the core focuses of this role include; - Managing Transitions to Care residency opportunities
- Enhancing awareness of Pharmacy related career pathways within the community to encourage students and those looking for a career change to consider programs for Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.
- Maintaining and building relationships with local schools to provide resources and collaboration that advances student placement and success.
- Guiding and mentoring pharmacy residents, providing access to inpatient and outpatient opportunities to develop resident competencies and comfort.
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Doctor of Pharmacy degree or a BS degree with hospital experience preferred
- Must be licensed and/or license eligible in the State of Idaho.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency preferred
