We are seeking an IV Room Specialist to join our Pharmacy Services team at Community Regional Medical Center (CRMC), the 685-bed flagship hospital of Community Medical Centers in Fresno, California. CRMC is home to the only Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Burn Center in the Central Valley serving 2.5 million people within 9 counties. The IV Room Specialist has primary responsibility for the compounding of sterile products within the pharmacy. The incumbent ensures regulations are being met in the validation of designated cleanroom/bufferroom areas and continual monitoring of particulate airflow. This position also ensures competency evaluation and documentation of all compounded sterile product activities, adhering to record keeping requirements, monitoring the quality assurance program for compounded sterile products, and maintaining overall compliance with required workflow by employees who work in the cleanroom/bufferroom areas.
Experience and education minimum requirements:
Bachelors degree in Pharmacy.
Three years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice or completion of a PGY1 Residency.
License and certification minimum requirements:
Valid State of California Pharmacist license.
Experience in compounding sterile products and knowledge of USP 797 Guidelines.
