As an Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Specialist, you will:
Serve as a core member of the multidisciplinary team providing 24/7 comprehensive care to a diverse Emergency Medicine population.
Optimize medication therapy and support evidence-based treatment decisions in a fast-paced and high-acuity setting.
Collaborate closely with physicians, APPs, nursing, and other partners to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality patient care.
Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives that advance practice, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the academic mission by teaching, mentoring, and precepting pharmacy students and residents.
Support the growth of innovative care models within a highly engaged Emergency Medicine program.
Nebraska Medicine’s Emergency Medicine Program:
The main campus features a 48-bed Emergency Department with over 95,000 annual visits.
Serves as the region’s primary referral center, providing care for diverse, complex, and high-acuity patients.
Designated Level I Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons.
Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center by the American Heart Association and the Brain Attack Coalition.
Offers extracorporeal life support (ECMO), an active Cardiac Cath Lab, and an Adult Psychiatric Emergency Services Unit.
Bellevue Medical Center, our community partner hospital, includes a 17-bed ED (flexing to 26 beds) with over 33,000 annual visits.
Fully integrated with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), supporting world-class research, education, and clinical care.

Preferred qualifications:
Completion of an Emergency Medicine or Critical Care PGY2 residency or fellowship (required for priority consideration) OR completion of a PGY1 plus at least 3 years of relevant experience OR at least 5 years of experience as an Emergency Medicine or Critical Care clinical specialist (or equivalent).
