The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in conjunction with affiliated institutions in San Antonio, South Texas Veterans Health Care System and University Health, offers PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residencies. The University Health program site will be participating in Midyear PPS. 

University Health (UH) provides multi-disciplinary care as the lead Level 1 Trauma Center for South Texas and is affiliated with the UT & UIW Colleges of Pharmacy. This 12-month residency is designed to provide a challenging training environment for individuals interested in developing clinical competency in hematology/oncology. 

Required rotations include hematology, medical oncology, pediatric hematology/oncology, and bone marrow transplant. Elective rotations include but are not limited to various clinics (Breast, Lung, Hematology, Gynecology Oncology), oral chemotherapy, palliative care, & infectious diseases. Longitudinal experiences include academic pharmacotherapy with teaching opportunities, practice management, major research project, orientation, & professional development. 

In order to be considered for this residency, the applicant must: 

• Possess U.S. citizenship or permanent residency

• Complete an ACPE-accredited PharmD Degree program

• Be enrolled in or complete an ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency

• Be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas

• Apply via PhORCAS (CV, college transcripts, three letters of recommendation, and letter of intent) by January 2nd
