We are searching for a Clinical Pharmacy Specialists to serve in the following role:

• Cardiac Intensive Care Unit/ Cardiology (CICU)
• Pulmonary/ Cystic Fibrosis
• Oncology

In this position, you will manage and promote clinical pharmacy activities appropriate to ensure the safety and efficacy of the medication use process, serve as a mentor to pharmacists who provide services to the medical specialty, and assist in direct patient care activities to promote optimal drug therapy and resolve medication use problems

• This position will have rounding, project management, education, and research responsibilities
• Utilizes practice knowledge and skills to serve as Clinical Practitioner
• Participation in the creation and maintenance of evidence based guidelines
• Participates in the education of parents/patients, care givers, pharmacists, and pharmacy residents and students
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives and research endeavors
• Performing medication use evaluations and assisting with formulary management
• Managing clinical implications of drug shortages
• Participation in clinical on-call activities
• Communicates with others
• Performs other essential functions

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
• RPH - Registered Pharmacist in Texas
• Completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency AND a PGY2 residency
  •  OR completion of a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency with 4 years of post-residency clinical experience
