Wellstar is seeking dynamic pharmacy leaders to shape the future of patient care at our newest hospital. These leadership roles offer the chance to build and lead a pharmacy department from day one, an opportunity few leaders encounter in their careers.
As part of a brand-new facility, you will have the opportunity to build workflows, define service lines, and shape a high-performance culture rooted in serving with compassion, pursuing excellence, and honoring every voice. From the very beginning, you will set the tone for how care is delivered, how teams collaborate, and how patients experience our pharmacy services.
At the same time, leaders fulfilling these roles won’t be building alone. You will have the full support and mentorship of 10 seasoned Directors of Pharmacy across Georgia, offering a strong leadership network, shared best practices, and the operational infrastructure of a well-established health system.

Wellstar Columbia County Medical Center marks the next chapter in Wellstar’s ongoing commitment to expand access to world-class care across Georgia. Opening fall 2026, the six-story, 254,000-square-foot hospital will bring full-service acute care closer to home for people in Columbia County and surrounding communities. Residents of Richmond County and neighboring areas can continue to receive the same high-quality care at our downtown Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center campus.
Wellstar Columbia County will include:
100 inpatient beds - 16 intensive care and 84 medical-surgical
Six operating rooms
Two catheterization/interventional radiology rooms
Two endoscopy rooms
19-room Emergency Department - expected to become a Level II Trauma Center
Helipad for rapid critical care transport
On-site pharmacy with Meds-to-Beds program
