Residents who complete the Emergency Medicine Pharmacy PGY2 at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo will develop the critical thinking skills necessary to provide evidence-based, patient-specific pharmacotherapy and become a confident, independent emergency medicine pharmacist. Required patient care rotations include adult emergency medicine rotations (6 total with focuses in community emergency medicine, overnights, and precepting), toxicology, and critical care. Elective rotations are offered in a variety of other settings such as critical care, infectious disease, and neonates. Other activities include longitudinal projects, presentations, committee participation, and student/resident teaching.
